Westerlaken foundation / Yayasan Bali Bersih files official complaint at New York Times.

On July 20th the New York Times published an article with the title 'With Tourists Gone, Bali Workers Return to Farms and Fishing'. The article can be read here.

As foundation we are disappointed that the article is not reflecting the current, desperate situation on the island, creates the wrong tendency towards current funding for NGO’s and communities trying to relieve those effected by the emergency and by the fact that the article sets a disposition for future tourism which is unjust.

We have filed an official complaint to the New York Times. The complaint can be read here.
