Yesterday evening we received a message that a number of dolphins stranded in Pantai Batu Tumpeng. We confirmed the stranding with locals and our friends at BPSPL Denpasar and JAAN and went to the stranding site. At the site we learned that 13 Spinner dolphins stranded (Stenella longorostris) stranded. One dolphin restranded, which was released back immediately. After surveying for restrandings for 1.5 hour we returned home, while the JAAN team remained on site. In the morning one dolphin was found on the beach with major injuries.
