Green turtle with tumors and Olive Ridley turtle washed up dead.

On July 24 we visited the Turtle Center in Serangan, TCEC, after a report that a Green Turtle was brought in from the Gili islands with tumors on both eyes (see photo). Upon talking with Pak Made we can confirm that the turtle will receive surgery, but that it will be very hard to be able to release the turtle back into the wild, as it will not have eye sight.

The same day we received a report of an 69 cm female Olive Ridley Turtle that washed up ashore dead in Perancak. According to Pak Anom of the local turtle center there is a big chance the death of this turtle is trash related.
