Yesterday we received a message from Kadek Dhani , the treasurer of Indonesian foundation Yayasan Bali Bersih. Dhani works at RipCurl School of Surf and a floating whale had been discovered in the water at pantai Mertasari, Sanur at 11:30. As first responders we immediately went to the location, and with help of RipCurl School of Surf and Surya we went to the whale. After consultation with BPSPL Denpasar we towed the carcass of the Cuviers beaked whale (5.3 mtr) to the shore. Necropsy has been performed under the lead of senior vets Jaya Ratha and Deny Rachmadani , results will follow. The carcass has been burried on site.
