An amazing start in our crowdfunding efforts! Within two days we raised 510 euro through one percent club for an emergency fund for animals due to COVID-19. We are so thankful for all the donations made!
Westerlaken foundation is currently not doing well financially due to declining donations and because 50% of our annual budget comes in by selling surf lessons to tourists. These lessons are canceled en masse due to COVID-19.
The next crowdfunding page is online! Through Go Fund Me we are looking for 1.000 euro for emergency food packages to be distributed to poor families whose life is severely impacted due to the fact that no tourists can come to the island any longer and no tourists remained on the island.
