Today we received the sad news that another Olive Ridley turtle (Lepidochelys olivacea) was found dead in Perancak. The female turtle (w: 64 cm, l: 65 cm) was found to have died from fishing gear, which was still sticking out of the turtles beak.
The turtle is buried on site by Pak Anom from Kurma Asih turtle conservation in Perancak.
