ANBI STATUS THE NETHERLANDS

WESTERLAKEN FOUNDATION

Westerlaken Foundation holds a prestigious Dutch ANBI status, which signifies its recognition by the Dutch government as a Public Benefit Organisation. Under this status, individuals who donate to ANBIs may be eligible for income tax deductions if the total sum of their gifts exceeds 1% of the Dutch threshold income in a calendar year, with a maximum deductible limit of 10% of that income. Additionally, the foundation is exempted from inheritance tax and gift tax on inheritances and gifts received, except those made with a condition that they are not intended for public benefit.

 

As mandated by the Dutch government, the following information is required to be published on the foundation's website:

Remuneration policy: The directors of the foundation do not receive remuneration for their work, except for possible attendance allowances. The board members are entitled to reimbursement of expenses incurred in the performance of their duties.

Westerlaken Relief Goods work towards all the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations, but specifically goal 11, sustainable cities and communities, sub 5:


By 2030, significantly reduce the number of deaths and the number of people affected and substantially decrease the direct economic losses relative to global gross domestic product caused by disasters, including water-related disasters, with a focus on protecting the poor and people in vulnerable situations.

Westerlaken Foundation / Yayasan Westerlaken Alliance Indonesia actively participates as a member of the Family Power movement, a collective effort that brings together established private initiatives and international partners. The goal of the movement is to raise awareness about the importance of providing vulnerable children with a secure, nurturing, and enduring family environment.
