The United Nations introduced the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in 2016, focusing on 'Life Below Water' (SDG 14) and 'Partnerships for the Goals' (SDG 17). A Marine Mammal and Turtle Rehabilitation Center in Serangan ('seapen') is proposed to improve limited rehabilitation opportunities, aligning with natural seawater principles.
